Botox is a safe and effective treatments for the reduction of lines in the face. It works by relaxing the muscles. Treatments last, on average, 3-4 months. Treatable areas include: furrow lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines, crow's feet, "bunny lines" on the nose, vertical lip lines, and pebbled chin, and Botox can even be used to calm down a "gummy smile," to relax the downward pull of the mouth corners, and to soften the vertical protruding neck bands. Botox is used to reduce excessive armpit sweating, and although we don't treat migraines specifically, many of our patients report that Botox in the forehead helps with headaches!
